About Me!

Hello fellow readers! My name is Kaitlynn Boardman and I’m a junior at Washington State University. I’m ecstatic that you took time out of your day to read my blog post and learn a little more about my progress through my communications class. I study political science but I also minor in communications. This class will teach me how communications is used through the media. I grew up in Boulder Colorado and was very engaged with politics. On the weekends, I would volunteer at local non profits and also became a serious skier and dancer. I traveled a lot growing up, spending vacations in Europe, Asia, and South America. My mother still resides in Colorado, but my father lives in Florida. After college, my brother joined the Peace Corp and is a science teacher in Tanzania. I came to WSU for the school spirit and amazing classes and faculty. Here, I have flourished and taken on many interests. I work as a tour guide and intern for Student Legal Services. I am also apart of my sorority Alpha Chi Omega and have held executive positions. This last summer I worked for the United States House of Representatives. I’m starting to prepare for my next endeavor of law school. I’m very excited for this upcoming semester due to my classes and spending time with my amazing roommates.
